The Perfectionists (The Perfectionists #1) by Sara Shepard

20549288The Cover: Font and overall style similar to PLL, but I really like this theme better. I like the pop of the bright blue background. The thorny purple rose feels a little sexy and and dangerous at the same time. It also seems a more intriguing since there’s no faces or dolls on the cover.

Back Blurb: In Beacon Heights, Washington, five high school seniors know that you don’t have to be good to be perfect.

Mackenzie, Ava, Caitlin, Julie, and Parker are all driven to be perfect–-no matter the cost. At first these five girls think they have nothing in common, until they discover they all hate the same person: rich, entitled Nolan, who’s done terrible things to each of them. They come up with the perfect plan to Continue reading

Tiny Pretty Things (Tiny Pretty Things #1) by Sona Charaipotra & Dhonielle Clayton

18710209Cover Lust: Simple, glam, and gorgeous. How can you not love this cover? Everything on it represents the book perfectly: the shiny satin ribbons, the dark background, and the pieces of shattered glass. Shiny things that are broken or about to crack are all over the story. It’s a beautiful cover to add front and center to your strategically organized bookshelf.

Back Blurb: How far is too far? At one of Manhattan’s most elite ballet schools, wafer-thin ballerinas pull their hair into sleek buns and lace their pointe shoes high, waiting for their chance to shine. But beneath the pretty, polished surface, these girls are hiding some terrible secrets and telling some twisted lies. Continue reading

The Selection Stories (The Selection #0.5 & #2.5) by Kiera Cass

74df3-18172471Cover Lust: Another swoonworthy cover! I love the close-up of America’s face. Her makeup is on point, especially those eyebrows! Her expression is confident with a little bit of mystery. I do wish we could see her dress (is it the same one from the cover of the first book?) or the back of her hair. Either way, the model Audrey Hollister continues to dazzle us with her beauty.

Back Blurb: Before America Singer was chosen to compete in the Selection…

She was in love with a Six named Aspen Leger…

And there was another girl in Prince Maxon’s life. Continue reading

The Guard (Selection #2.5) by Kiera Cass

eeea3-18170039Cover Lust: If this was a print copy, it would illuminate any bookshelf. A sparkling waterfront castle, the signature Selection tiara, a golden sunset theme…it’s pure radiance. There seems to be a color theme on the covers that symbolize the characters in this series. Could the gold be representing the color of Aspen’s button?

Description: Before America Singer met Prince Maxon…

Before she entered the Selection…

She was in love with a boy named Aspen Leger. Continue reading

The Elite (Selection #2) by Kiera Cass

16248068The Cover: Another beautiful cover, although the dress is my least favorite of the three. I’m not really a fan of the orangish-red or the panels. But the look does seem to fit America really well for this book. This gown is sharp and rough as opposed to her soft and fluffy blue one. Her expression is intimidating and determined, like she’s either on a mission or glaring at Celeste (HINT: She’s usually both). America is once again portrayed by the stunning Audrey Hollister. If I ever have the fortunate luck of meeting her in person, I’m asking for an autograph and then stealing her tiara.

Back Blurb:  The Selection began with thirty-five girls. Continue reading

The Prince (Selection #0.5) by Kiera Cass

08bd1-15820748Cover Lust: *Swoon!* Love, love, LOVE, the cover art for the Selection novellas! No princess dresses here, but the sparkly purple mirror background is stunning (is the purple signifying the color of royalty?). And of course, the to-die-for tiara. Simple, regal, and elegant.

Description: Before thirty-five girls were chosen to compete in the Selection….Before Aspen broke America’s heart…There was another girl in Prince Maxon’s life…

The Book: The Prince (#0.5) consists of six short chapters that give us a glimpse of Prince Maxon’s life personal life before the Selection. We also get to better know King Clarkson and Queen Amberly.

The Selection (Selection #1) by Kiera Cass

f0b2d-0fc6031ac490c9b5b75a2e098402f746Cover Lust: This series has hands-down the most drop-dead gorgeous covers I’ve ever seen. The tiara, the mirrors, the font, the DRESS! I would give up my whole bookshelf for that dress! Well, maybe not, but I’d definitely prance around in the blue ball gown I wore to my junior prom and pretend to be America (with blonde hair). The UK cover is even prettier with the splash of pink (see below), if that’s even possible. I could literally stand at my bookshelf and stare at these covers all day. America is portrayed by the lovely and talented Audrey Hollister.

Back Blurb: For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. Continue reading
